The PGA Golf Club in Port St Lucie, Florida, the PGA of America”s flagship 54 hole facility has two outstanding golf courses ranked on GOLF Magazine’s 2016 edition of the “Best Courses Near You.” The Tom Fazio designed Wanamaker course is 23rd and the Pete Dye designed Dye course is 30th. Part of GOLF Magazine’s biennial “Top 100 Courses You Can Play” in the United States list, “Best Courses Near You” highlights the top tracks in all 50 states as determined by the magazine’s editorial staff and panel of well-traveled golf industry insiders.
The PGA Golf Club joins other Florida notable courses on the powerhouse list including TPC Sawgrass, Streamsong Resort, Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club & Lodge and Innisbrook Golf & Spa Resort.

Opened in 1996, the PGA Golf Club is entering a new era of entertainment as the recent enhancements have met with rave reviews from members and guests alike. I played it at the opening and the course was so much improved from before, it was remarkable what the PGA Team did to give it a new look and superb conditioning.
This past weekend, 9/16-19, they had their “20th Anniversary Weekend” to celebrate 2 decades of unforgettable golf. Festivities started with a members-exclusive cocktail party and Happy Hour from 4 to 9pm, followed by a “Step Aside Scramble” on Saturday. Sunday and Monday all guests had the opportunity to play for special pricing, and to honor the founding of PGA Club 20 years ago, they received a bounce back coupon to play the Wanamaker or Ryder course before October 31st for special anniversary rate of $19.96.
