UNIVERSITY PARK – Pick up new ways to elevate your golf game at one or more of the October golf clinics being offered at University Park Country Club’s Golf Academy. From new TrackMan clinics to get golf ready and junior golf sessions, men and women of all ability levels will find options to help them work on and improve technical and golf game enhancement skills.

Open to members and non-members, participants benefit from having head golf pro Ashley Hayden and former South African Open champion, head teaching professional Clinton Whitelaw and LPGA Legends Tour player and head teaching golf pro Sue Ertl share their skill, knowledge and acumen.

October Golf Clinic Schedule

NEW: TrackMan Clinics

Dates: Fridays: October 5, 12, 19, 26

Time: 9:00 – 10:30 a.m.

Cost: $49 per person/ per clinic

Newly added to the Golf Academy’s roster of clinic options, these technical skill clinics are limited to four participants per session. Two different clinics, Driver Optimization and Golf Club Gapping Assessment, are hosted by TrackMan certified instructors and include a TrackMan Data Analysis report.

Driver Optimization Clinics | October 5 & 19

Reduce your slice or hook and gain more yardage guaranteed! Our PGA/ LPGA instructors will show you how to increase your driver distance.

Golf Club Gapping Assessment | October 12 & 26

Use TrackMan data to figure the exact distance that you hit your clubs! Our accurate data will help you eliminate the guesswork and immediately lead to lower scores and more consistency.

Men’s Golf Clinics

Dates: Every Tuesday: October 9, 16, 23, 30

Time: 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. (same time for all dates)

Cost: $25 per person/per clinic

Weekly topics basic putting technique, driver skills, irons, hybrids, bunker play and specialty shots. The small group clinics designed to help participants improve their game in a friendly atmosphere. Maximum class size is 10 with a minimum 5:1 student/instructor ratio.

Ladies’ Golf Clinics

Dates: Every Wednesday: October 3, 10, 17, 24, 31

Time: 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. (same time for all dates)

Cost: $25 per person/per clinic

Weekly topics include putting, chipping, irons, driver, hybrids, bunker play, specialty shots, pre-shot and pre-round routine. Join other like-minded women who want to improve and learn how to more fully enjoy the game of golf. Maximum class size is 10 with a minimum 5:1 student/instructor ratio.

Ladies Get Golf Ready

Dates: Every Thursday: October 4, 11, 18, 25, and November 1

Time: 5:00 – 6:15 p.m. (same for all dates)

Cost: $125 per person for the five-week program

This five-week program is designed for ladies new to the game of golf or who want to be reintroduced. All aspects of golf will be covered.

Saturday Morning Drop-In Clinics

Dates: October 6, 13, 20, 27

Time: 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. (same for all dates)

Cost: $25 per person/ per clinic

Each week includes one full shot topic and one short game topic.

Saturday Junior/ Youth Golf Clinics (ages 6 to 16)

Dates: October 6, 13, 20, 27

Time: 9:00 – 10:00 am (same for all dates)

Cost: $25 per person / per clinic (includes a snack and drink)

Clinics cover putting, chipping, pitching, long game, bunkers, rules and knowledge tests with a different focus each week.

“Sue-Real” Clinic and a Cocktail

Date: Friday, October 26

Time: 4:00 – 5:15 p.m.

Cost: $35 per person, includes post clinic cocktail!

Join former LPGA star and Ladies Legend Golfer, Sue Ertl, as she guides participants through a warm up clinic and three holes on the golf course. Let Sue assess your game and help you improve the basic fundamentals including full swing, chipping, putting and much more! After golf, join Sue for a cocktail where you can ask her about her stories from the tour and other valuable golf tips for improving and enjoying your game more.
