Fazio’s Wanamaker Course is ranked 18th in Golfweek’s 2018 “Best: State-by-State Courses You Can Play” rankings, while the Dye Course rose to 22nd, making the PGA Club one of only a handful of destinations with two layouts on the list. Not to be outdone, the Ryder Course designed by Fazio reopened in October 2017 to rave reviews following a complete renovation project to all facets of the golf course, which undoubtedly will raise its standing.

The PGA Club was recently honored as the first organization to receive the Economic Development Council(EDC) of St. Lucie County’s Leadership Recognition Award. The award recognizes the club’s contributions to the County since it was first established in 1996. According to the EDC. The PGA Golf Club has employed 2,500 local people, attracted countless visitors and new residents, and invested more than $58 million in capital in St. Lucie County.

“It is not really possible to evenly assess the contributions of one individual against the contributions of an entire organization, particularly over the course of years,” says EDC President Peter Tesch. “The PGA has been a driver of our economic vitality since they came to Port St. Lucie.”

“We are truly honored and humbled that the Economic Development Council of St. Lucie County bestowed us the first-ever Leadership Recognition Award to an organization,” says GM Terry. “St.

Lucie County is not only a wonderful place to work, the community thrives as a place to live and play.”
