LANGER IN FIELD FOR CHUBB CLASSIC IN NAPLES

NAPLES – The preliminary field for the 2018 Chubb Classic was announced for the PGA TOUR Champions event held February 12-18 at The TwinEagles Club in Naples, Fla. The 2018 Chubb Classic will have a competitive field including three former champions, Bernhard Langer, Kirk Triplett and Lee Janzen.

Langer returns to the Chubb Classic after an impressive 2017 season. He claimed seven first place finishes, 16 top 10 finishes and concluded the season at number two on the Charles Schwab Cup Ranking.

In 2017, Janzen had a second place finish at the Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship and a tie for second place at the Charles Schwab Cup Championship. Throughout the season, Janzen had a total of five top 10 finishes putting him at number eight on the Charles Schwab Cup Ranking.

Triplett had a great 2017 season with six top 10 finishes including a second place finish at the U.S. Senior Open Championship. Finishing the season ranked 22 in the Charles Schwab Cup Ranking, Triplett joins the Chubb Classic field once again.

PGA TOUR Champions Miguel Ángel Jiménez, Jerry Kelly, Colin Montgomerie and David Toms are also set to compete for the Chubb Classic title.
