NAPLES – Some of the biggest names on the PGA TOUR Champions continue to commit for the 2018 Chubb Classic at The TwinEagles Club in Naples, Fla. This year’s preliminary field features six World Golf Hall of Fame members and 33 of the top 36 players in last year’s Charles Schwab Cup standings. Thirteen of the 15 Tournament winners from the 2017 PGA TOUR Champions season are set to compete in Naples, including the likes of Woody Austin, Scott McCarron, Tom Lehman, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, Brandt Jobe, Paul Goydos and Kevin Sutherland.

Returning to Naples for the second year include PGA TOUR Champions, David Toms and John Daly. During the 2017 PGA TOUR Champions season, Daly secured his first PGA TOUR Champions win at the Insperity Invitational.

In addition, the preliminary list features the latest World Golf Hall of Fame inductee, Ian Woosnam. Woosnam is one of three golfers to have won titles in the PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR Champions, European Tour and European Senior Tour. Other World Golf of Fame members set to join Woosnam in Naples include Colin Montgomerie, Mark O’Meara and José María Olazábal. Three-time Chubb Classic winner and World Golf Hall of Fame member, Bernhard Langer, announced his Chubb Classic commitment last month.

Also competing in Naples is the 2017 PGA TOUR Champions Rookie of the Year, Jerry Kelly. Last year, Kelly made his PGA TOUR Champions debut at the Chubb Classic with a T3 finish. He later went on to add three more top-10s before claiming the Boeing Classic and Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship titles during the 2017 season. Most recently, Kelly claimed the Mitsubishi Electric Championship title last month.

Additional commitments to the 2018 Chubb Classic include Steve Lowery, Jesper Parnevik and David Frost. Scott Parel, who recently claimed the 2018 Diamond Resorts Invitational title, also committed to this year’s tournament.

“This competitive field ensures for spectacular play and memorable performances,” tournament director Matt Hilliker said. “We look forward to celebrating the 31st year of the Chubb Classic with some of golf’s greatest legends.”
